Motion Capture

I figured that most people were going to do something where the character was still kicking something, so I wanted to try something else. After watching the playblast of the motion capture data I began to think that it could be turned into him taking a step up and walking on the wall. I thought this was an original idea for this assignment and set out to try and make it happen. The quality of the shadows in the movie is due to the fact that I had the wrong settings on the dmap shadows and I haven't re-rendered the movie yet.

The Step
In order to get the step I had to group the control rig to it's self so that I could have the right rotation point. After that I need to some how make the transition smooth without changing too much of the motion capture data. I ended up using point constraints on the joints in the right leg. and animated there influence to be just for the step up on to the wall. I then animated the control points between to key frames from the motion capture data. This was the only change to the motion capture data besides the clean up work.
